This is the unique original Gouache painting by Graham Coton.

In December 1963 a group of adventurers attempted to pilot two veteran World War II Messerschmitt 108s across the Atlantic from East to West, against the prevailing winds.

They made it - just - with one of the planes forced to land after a broken oil line and an explosion, on the Canadian coast near Goose Bay.
