Rare Disney Ozalid Model Sheet

This is the unique original Ozalid print by Disney Studio.

This Rough Model Sheet shows 14 individual drawings of Cubby, one of the Lost Boys from Peter Pan. These are grouped together on the official Disney Ozalid Print, 3 of these drawings also feature the infamous Squirrel Twins.

This sheet has obviously been used in production in the Disney Studios and shows signs of this use as it was used to help create Disney History, such as the small amount of blue paint in the lower margin.

Peter Pan was Disney's 14th animated feature film. It was also the final Disney film in which all of the members of Disney's Nine Old Men worked together as directing animators.

Considered official Disney Documents, these sheets rarely if ever left the Studios.

The Ozalid printing process relies on a sensitised paper being developed using ammonia vapour, resulting in a very stable and long lasting print, often used by architects and early animation studios, as the sheets would have been handled over and over.

The surface of this print has a slight satin finish, similar to that of a developed photograph on satin paper from a dark-room.
