This is the unique original Gouache painting by Ron Embleton.

Island Scrapbook: The Good and the Bad. Scene's from the history of Holy Isle also known as Lindisfarne. The artwork shows the Danes invading the island in 793AD it had been built by St Ayden in 635AD.

Also shown is the causeway. Lower left the castle at Beblowe Crag and the notorious wreckers luring boats onto the rocks.
