Images painted by Embleton for a double page spread published in Finding Out magazine. The central portrait depicts Jesse James, the outlaw who was never caught by the Sheriff throughout his 15 years of lawlessness.
The two outlaws on the title image are shown firing their revolvers outside a saloon, with honest town folk running for cover. Embleton's usual painstaking attention to detail is apparent in the horse hair and the research into the costumes.
The third panel painted in greens shows bandits forcing a train to stop, and is a beautiful display of Embleton's use of colour.
