This is the Signed unique original Pen & Ink drawing by Enric Badia Romero.

This original Modesty Blaise pen and ink strip is from the first complete story Romero ever illustrated for the series.

Having taken over part-way through The Warlords of Phoenix, Peter O'Donnell was so happy with Romero's work on the strip that he wrote the next story 'Willie The Djinn', especially for Romero - the script O'Donnell wrote, played deliberately into Romero's hand - a beautiful Modesty, exotic locations, action, and many ladies to focus on.

This strip is signed by Romero in the centre panel and has a newspaper cutting of the printed published strip glued to the back, and is also rubber stamped 27 Aug 1970.

Modesty Blaise was Peter O'Donnell's most famous literary creation and has appeared in many popular novels and newspaper strips for nearly 40 years.

It is extremely rare that strips from this early Modesty Blaise become available as they are seldom let go by collectors.
