Modesty is in serious trouble as she crashes into a wild camel, overturning her jeep and trapping her covered in petrol.
Peppered with Romero's unmistakable brush strokes and heavily signed by the artist in the first panel, this strip shows some fabulous use of light and shade as well as a variety of inking techniques.
This strip is number 7576 of the Modesty Blaise series and was published in 1991. It forms part of the story 'Walk-About', set in Australia.
Enric Badia Romero has drawn more Modesty Blaise strips than any other of the Modesty Blaise artists, and is also responsible for the extremely popular strip AXA.
Modesty Blaise was Peter O'Donnell's most famous literary creation and has appeared in many popular novels and newspaper strips for nearly 40 years.
The strip has been kept in the artists' personal collection for over 30 years and is being made available for the first time.
